Ferno Aviation
Lox RMA Procedure
  1. Call Ferno Aviation at 770-521-1005 or FAX at 770-521-0910 to have a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number issued for the item to be returned. Please have the part number and/or description of the part, the serial number, and cable length (if applicable) ready when you call or visible on the FAX. This information is vital for the issuance of a RMA number.
  2. If the part you are returning is a LOX quantity indicator, please also identify the cable length used with that particular indicator (i.e. 18 inches). Supplying the cable length will alleviate a future phone call requesting this information. Essex requires the cable length to calibrate and properly test the indicator before it is returned to the customer.
  3. Once the RMA number has been issued, please return your item to:

    Essex Cryogenics
    8007 Chivvis Dr.
    St. Louis, MO 63123-2395

  4. Please do not send the item to Ferno Aviation at either of our addresses. Sending your items to Ferno Aviation will only delay the inspection and repair of your unit.
  5. Be sure to print the RMA number on any correspondence you include with the item. It is necessary to clearly mark the RMA number on the outside of the carton in which the item is packaged.
  6. As soon as Essex has inspect the unit, they will fax a copy of the cost sheet to Ferno Aviation. At that time, Ferno Aviation will forward a copy of the cost sheet to you for authorization. Please call Ferno Aviation with any questions regarding the cost sheet.
  7. After your review, please fax the signed cost sheet back to Ferno Aviation at 770-599-0527. At that time we will let Essex know to continue with the repair and forward the item directly back to you or drop ship to any address you advise. The signed cost sheet also gives Ferno Aviation the authorization to invoice your company for the repairs if Essex does not deem the unit as a warranty repair.
  8. Please call or FAX with any questions or concerns.
