The SAM splint is built from a thin core of aluminum alloy, sandwiched between two layers of closed-cell foam and is suitable for splinting all extremities. It can be cut with a pair of trauma shears and when folded into a "structural bend" longitudinally, the splint becomes quite rigid - easily suporting the leg, forearm or humerus, as well as the cervical spine. The splint is X-Ray translucent and the coating does not stain and is reusable with proper cleaning. Available in Orange or Black in 36" rolls or 36",18" and 9" flat pieces.
